Fugue’s Josh Stella takes Silver for Chief Technology Officer of the Year in the 17th Annual Cyber Security Global Excellence Awards

Frederick, MD –  March 22, 2021 – Fugue, the company transforming cloud security, announced today that The Globee® Awards, organizer of the world’s premier business awards programs, has named Fugue’s cloud security SaaS platform the Gold winner of its Hot Security Technology of the Year award in the 17th Annual Cyber Security Global Excellence Awards®. Fugue co-founder, CEO, and CTO Josh Stella was named the Silver winner for Chief Technology Officer of the Year.

The prestigious global awards recognize cyber security and information technology vendors with advanced, ground-breaking products, solutions, and services that are helping set the bar higher for others in all areas of security and technologies.

Fugue is helping organizations transform cloud security to innovate faster

Over the past year Fugue has introduced several innovations to its award-winning SaaS-based Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) platform that enables organizations to automate cloud security and compliance across the Cloud Development Lifecycle (CDLC). With Fugue, customers can use the same set of rules—including out-of-the-box compliance policies and custom rules—for infrastructure-as-code checks, deployment guardrails, and continuous cloud security and compliance auditing and reporting.

The Fugue Platform leverages Fugue’s Snapshot Engine, which captures every cloud resource configuration and change over time, and Fugue’s Rules Engine, which is built upon Open Policy Agent (OPA), the open-source standard for policy-as-code. Unlike other CSPM tools that scan production cloud environments and alert on a predefined set of problems, the Fugue platform empowers cloud engineering and security teams to ensure the security and compliance of cloud infrastructure across the entire CDLC.

Co-Founder and CTO recognized for his vision for cloud security

Josh Stella co-founded Fugue with a vision for how cloud security could transcend data center security by approaching it as a software engineering problem, rather than a traditional security analysis problem. Over the course of his 25-year career, Stella has served as CTO and other senior IT leadership and technical roles, including as a Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services, where he supported customers in the national security community.

“We realized that cloud computing is fundamentally different from computing in the data center, and securing it required thinking differently,” said Stella. “We founded Fugue to help companies from startups to enterprises adapt to this new security paradigm and fully realize the promise of cloud without sacrificing security, and receiving these Globee Awards is both a tremendous honor and validation of our approach.”

More than 45 judges from around the world representing a wide spectrum of industry experts participated in the judging process.
