Frederick, Md. – October 2, 2019 Fugue, the company delivering autonomous cloud infrastructure security and compliance, today announced that it has won the 2019 CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award for IaaS Security Solution of the Year for the second year in-a-row.

CyberSecurity Breakthrough is an independent organization that annually gathers senior-level, experienced cybersecurity industry executives, journalists and analysts together to select companies that are pushing ingenuity across a range of information security categories. The 2019 program drew more than 3,500 nominations from over companies all over the world.

Fugue’s groundbreaking self-healing cloud infrastructure security technology won the 2018 award for IaaS Security Solution of the Year. Earlier this year, the company packaged its technology into an easy-to-use Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that secures cloud infrastructure from misconfiguration, provides dynamic visualization of cloud environments, delivers compliance assurance and reporting, and enables application teams to “shift left” to incorporate cloud security and compliance early in the software development life cycle (SDLC).

Developed for engineers, by engineers, Fugue provides cloud teams with intelligent guardrails that use infrastructure baselines to eliminate policy violations and cloud misconfiguration. Fugue automates compliance validation for CIS Foundations Benchmarks, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, PCI, and SOC 2. Customers such as AT&T, SAP NS2, and PBS trust Fugue to protect their cloud environments.

“The CyberSecurity Breakthrough Award judges clearly recognize the value of empowering software engineers with tools to ensure the security and compliance of their cloud infrastructure environments and provide them with full visibility into their security posture at all times,” said Phillip Merrick, Fugue CEO. “Cloud security is a software engineering problem, not a traditional security analysis problem, and enabling software engineers to program security at every stage of the software development life cycle is the key to protecting cloud-based systems and data.”

Fugue also this year added Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II and ISO27001 to its platorm’s growing list of out-of-the-box compliance frameworks that also includes HIPAA, GDPR, NIST 800-53, AWS CIS Benchmark, and Payment Card Industry (PCI) across all cloud computing platforms.
